Looking for more ways to market your lash business and grow your client list? Here are 4 ways you can do just that!

1). Referrals

Your number one source of bringing new lash clients through your doors should be through word of mouth referrals. Your current eyelash extension clients are the walking and talking billboards that promote your lash services. Offer your client’s the incentive to not just talk but RAVE about their lash extensions by giving them a special gift for any new full set they refer (at the full price of course)!

In this day in age, most potential clients (and current ones too) want to research you before committing to take an action like call you to ask questions or book an appointment online. If you’re not giving them what they’re looking for, they’ll go to whoever is! Do not make it difficult for prospective clients to find you and your services. Also, be sure your website has lots of great photos of your lash work and plenty of ways for them to get in touch with you thru email, a contact form, online booking, phone number, etc. I prefer to use www.wix.com  for my website as it’s super easy to use and setup for those of us “non-techie” types. I’ve also heard great things about Squarespace.

If you need help setting up your website, check out my DIY WEB DESIGN e-course that shows you click by click how to set up your very own lash business website. This 100% self paced online course was created just for lash artists and is super easy for even the most non-techy lashers to get their digital home set up and published!

3). Social Media

Marketing TipsThe beauty of the eyelash extension and beauty industry is that it is a very visually driven industry. This means that amazing photos of your lashes on social media -could- be one of very few marketing tools you need in your lash business once you have a steady and growing following! The key to a successful social media marketing plan is knowing how to take stunning and eye catching photos of your lash work. The number one error a lot of lash artists make when taking lash photos is poor lighting. Here’s my favorite RING LIGHT (from Amazon) not only to use while applying eyelash extensions, but also taking jaw-dropping before and after photos for marketing my lash business.

4). Host an Event

Now I do not consider myself an extrovert, in fact I prefer to recharge my batteries alone or in a small group rather than take what precious time I have available (if any!) to spend at a party where I uncomfortably make small talk for hours. Not my jam. However, there are a few MLM (multi-level marketing) companies out there that pair beautifully with an eyelash extension business that pooling your client lists from other “Consultants” may be insanely beneficial to your lash business and you may get some free product out of it! 2 MLMs that would pair great with a lash business and offer pretty decent incentives for the “host” are Lipsense and Lularoe. Reach out to a couple of their consultants offering to host an event for them at your space and setup a live demo of eyelash application (or have a willing friend/family member walk around with only one eye done to showcase the dramatic before and after difference). You’re sure to gain a few awesome clients from an event like that and at a minimum, you’ll get some free lipstick and buttery soft leggings!

The key to marketing your lash business both online and in person is to just be you. Most prospective clients can see right through a phony used car salesman type pitch, so steer clear of soliciting your business and focus more on building a genuine relationship with your clients, your followers and your network of other beauty professionals to grow your lash business clientele like wild fire!
