How To Goal Plan For A Successful 2020

Posted inUncategorized

PLANNING is a NON-negotiable in business.

So we’re going to talk about how powerful goal planning is in order to set yourself up for your breakthrough year! Success doesn’t happen by accident – it happens by intention! I want you to be ABSOLUTELY prepared for 2020 to be your biggest, baddest and best year in business yet!

Brain Dump The Wants, Hopes And Dreams

Put everything down on paper. Seriously – no limiting yourself in this exercise. Put big goals. Small goals. Hairy scary goals that scare the heck out of you. If you need help getting big with these goals, then I want you to ask yourself – what do I need to do or believe in myself to make these goals a reality?

 Prioritize Top 3 Goals

Narrow it down to your top 3 goals for the year.

Most entrepreneurs fall one of two ways: overestimate what you can do in a day, underestimate what you can do in a year. Focusing on 3-4 main goals will keep you accountable while also maintaining realistic expectations for yourself.

Connect with your Why

When I reach this goal, I will feel:

When I reach this goal, this is how my life will be different:

When I reach this goal, I will celebrate by:

If I don’t reach this goal, I will still struggle with:

If I don’t reach this goal, what would be the worst case scenario:

Get specific

An critical error every business owner I’ve come across makes is being too broad about their goal. BE SPECIFIC!

A specific goal would be I want to be fully booked with 26 volume fill clients a week at a $80/appointment price point (for those of you quick with the math – that would put this person’s goal at a 6-figure year).
The more specific, the better because how will you know when you’ve reached your goal if you don’t know when you get there?

Map it out

This my friends is where the magic happens. The planning part! So you have your Top 3 SPECIFIC goals for the year. This is where a lot of people stop, but you must break down exactly how and when you are going to accomplish these goals.

Execute and Check in

DO IT. Schedule your next goal planning check in for March, June, September and adjust your plan as needed. Sometimes we’re ahead of our goals and sometimes we’re behind. Doesn’t mean we give up if we’re behind… it means we get creative and sometimes uncomfortable because what you want is outside of your comfort zone. Otherwise you’d already have it!
