Posted inBuild, Grow, Start

With so many different ways to market your business, trying to narrow down a couple of fool proof ways can leave your head absolutely SPINNING! Especially if you are new to the beauty industry.

There are so many clever, and damn near effortless ways that you can easily market yourself and your business that will actually have you seeing results…

AKA, clients in your door!

I will be giving you 5 marketing tactics that anyone can practice in their business. It works great for newbies, but can totally be helpful for anyone who’s been in the game for awhile!

 Utilizing Your Current Network

Use your friends of friends of friends… and so on!

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again…

Word of mouth marketing is the absolute best way to start getting your name out there, and start establishing yourself as a trusted business. And who better to start getting your name out there then the people around you that you trust? And the people that they trust, and so on and so forth.

If you’re going to preform free sets for your first clients in order to practice your craft, make sure that you are taking several before and after pictures. They aren’t going to look perfect, but you need to start to create content.

Reach out to your friends, talk about the business, and make those connections.

Have A Website

This is a must, must, MUST!

Anything is better than nothing.

It does not have to be super fancy with a million bells and whistles at first, but you do need to have SOMETHING!

Your website is where potential clients are going to begin looking for more information about you and your business. This is where a possible client is going to make their decision about whether or not you are the lash artist for them.

Instagram and other social platforms are not going to work to bring you consistent leads and easy bookings until you have a website. If you need an inexpensive and easy way to get a website up fast, shoot me a DM on IG and I’ll send you a resource!

Give Away Business Cards

If anyone told you business cards are old fashion, they lied!

Every client leaving gets your card to share with a friend.

You can even write a personalized discount on the card for them to share with a friend so they feel like they’re the “hook up” for their friend. This is especially important if you’re starting off working from home.

Strategic Partnerships & Niche Servicing

Become the GO TO expert for a specific service.

Create partnerships with other beauty service providers in your area, who you are not in competition with, and cross promote one another!

Pick a service you want to practice and get better at and focus your marketing on that.

Do not focus on the 10 different services and being the jack of all trades, especially when you’re new. Your sole focus is getting someone in the door.

Once they’re in, take them wherever you want to take them! You can work on additional services and up selling once they’re in the door… but you need to get them in the door first.

And the easiest way I know how to do that is by being perceived as an expert.
