Business Beyond the Chair with Kayla Hertz of Educated Artistry

 Have you ever connected with someone online or on social media and you just instantly “get” each other. I feel like that was the connection I had with Kayla Hertz of Educated Artistry podcast! Kayla and I connected on Instagram recently and started talking about what we’re noticing in the industry that women (and men!) gravitate towards once they’re fully booked.

We have both seen and even experienced first hand that the traditional “lash artist career path” Step 1: Start a business 

Step 2: Become fully booked 

Step 3: Hire a team/Become an educator and/or Start a product line. 

Sound familiar?

Of course it does! It is what 99% of our industry plans to do when they first go out on their own. 

But reality is MUCH different than what our naive dreams of creating an empire look like when we first go out on our own.

So Kayla and I decided to collaborate on a two part episode to share all of the opportunities we could think of that you could pursue beyond just trading your time for money as a service provider and we probably share ideas that you haven’t even considered yet – so it is well worth the listen!
